Description

PSL Recruitment is currently recruiting on behalf of a leading NHS Trust for an experienced Band 7 Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist to join a busy outpatient MSK service on a full-time locum basis.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a highly regarded multidisciplinary team, providing specialist assessment, diagnosis and treatment for patients presenting with a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions. You will manage an independent caseload, delivering evidence-based interventions and supporting patients to achieve the best possible clinical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assess, diagnose and manage a varied caseload of musculoskeletal patients within an outpatient setting.
• Formulate and deliver evidence-based treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Utilise advanced clinical reasoning and assessment skills to manage complex musculoskeletal presentations.
• Deliver hands-on manual therapy, exercise rehabilitation and patient education.
• Work collaboratively with Consultants, GPs and the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Identify patients requiring further investigation or onward referral where clinically appropriate.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in line with HCPC and NHS standards.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to support effective patient management.

Essential Requirements:
• Degree in Physiotherapy (BSc or MSc).
• Current HCPC Registration.
• Membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).
• Previous NHS experience within an outpatient Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy service.
• Experience working at Band 7 level, or as an experienced Band 6 ready to step into a Band 7 role.
• Excellent assessment, diagnosis and clinical reasoning skills.
• Strong manual therapy and rehabilitation experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently within a busy outpatient environment.

Desirable Experience:
• Orthopaedic rehabilitation.
• Sports injuries.
• Spinal physiotherapy.
• First Contact Practitioner (FCP) experience.
• Injection therapy (desirable but not essential).
